Dennis M. Perlberg, Esq.

Mr. Perlberg has a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University.  He received a Juris Doctorate, cum laude,  from Ohio State University in 1972 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1973.  He is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.  Mr. Perlberg is a member of the New York County Lawyers Association, the Suffolk County Bar Association, the Defense Association of  New York, the  International Association of Arson Investigators, the Defense Research Institute and the Loss Executives Association.

    

Mr. Perlberg is the senior partner of our firm.  His aggressive litigation style is well known and his analysis of policy coverage issues is widely accepted.  Mr. Perlberg is the legal editor of Between the Lines, by Harold Daynard (1986) and his publications include Recognizing and Combating Insurance Fraud, (Insurance Advocate, March 1990); New York Regulation 64; It's Provisions and How the Courts Have Interpreted Them, (Insurance Advocate, September 1991).  Mr. Perlberg has  addressed numerous associations on a variety of insurance related issues including 2007 Insurance Coverage Update: Focus On First Party Coverage Issues (New York State Bar Association); 2005 Insurance Coverage Update (New York State Bar Association); Residential and Commercial Insurance Concerns - Advanced issues (Chairman, New York State Bar Association Seminar); Collapse Coverage (Travelers Insurance Company Coverage Seminar); Conflicts In Fraud Investigation and Insurers Avoidance of Bad Faith (New York Anti-car Theft and Fraud Association Seminar); Fire and Arson Investigation For The Insurance Professional: Examinations Under Oath (International Association of Arson Investigators Seminar); Limitations of Liability in Subrogation Cases (Recovery Forum); The 1985 Amendment to the Insurance Law Relating to Public Adjusters (Long Island Property Managers Forum); 1986 Revisions to the ISO Commercial Package Policy (Property Loss Association of New York); Punitive Damages in New York Insurance Law (The Property Loss Association of New York, Inc.); Pollution Losses - Are Property Insurers Home Free (The Property Loss Association of New York); Examinations Under Oath (International Association of Arson Investigators); New York's Insurance Fraud Prevention Act and It's Relationship to the Unfair Claim Settlement Practice Act and Regulation 64 (New York Anti-Car Theft & Fraud Association).
